Who? Youth players from Blue Blades to Bantams (PreK-14)

What? A youth program designed to provide participants of all levels with an opportunity to gain skills in a relaxed and friendly environment using a low player-to-coach ratio.  Players are separated based on factors, such as age and skill level, and are rotated through "stations" to work on various drills.  Beginner players will learn to skate by coaches using a variety of techniques, and will be incorporated into the station drills once coaches feel they are ready.  Intermediate and advanced players will work on station drills, and half-ice scrimmages will be facilitated, at the coaches’ discretion, to keep the competitive spirit alive.

Where?  Gutterson Field House, 97 Spear Street, Burlington, VT 05405

When? 

 Note: Any new players or Blue Blades who wish to continue skating past the first 30 min will be welcome to do so

How Much?  

*Residency is based on the school the player is enrolled in for new players and/or the previous organization a player was registered with for those having previously played

**Cutting Edge is designed for youth to learn to play and love hockey.  If a non-resident player registers with MYHA for the 2018-2019 season, their Cutting Edge Fee will be credited to their ’18-19 registration fee via a refund check within 3 weeks of the start of the regular season.

ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE PROPER HOCKEY EQUIPMENT and a USA HOCKEY BARCODE NUMBER

- Equipment: Helmet with face mask - Mouth guard - Skates - Shoulder/Chest Pad - Neck Guard - Gloves - Hockey Pants - Athletic Cup Protector - Hockey Socks - Elbow Pads - Stick - Shin Pads

(Loaner gear sets include everything you need except for skates – we do have some skates to offer players to use, athletic cup protector, neck guard, and hockey socks)

USAH Barcode:  In order to participate all players must be registered with USA Hockey and have a registration barcode.  There is a $40.00 charge associated with this membership for those over 6 years old.
